Youth Parliament Pakistan’s Study Visit to UK Scheduled

 
 

Islamabad, June 09, 2009: A delegation of the Youth Parliament of Pakistan is due to visit United Kingdom from July 19 - 25, 2009 as part of a Youth Study Visit facilitated by PILDAT. A 12 member delegation of the Youth Parliament Pakistan, a project conceived, planned and implemented by PILDAT in Pakistan since 2007, will be interacting with the UK Youth Parliament, understand the working of the House of Commons, UK, hold interactions with young office bearers of youth wings of UK’s leading political parties and engage in a dialogue with British youth, especially the Pakistani diaspora on issues of mutual concern and interest.  >>>  More...

Islamabad, June 12, 2009: The fourth session of Youth Parliament Pakistan was scheduled from Wednesday May 06 to Sunday 10, 2009 at Hotel Margala Islamabad. The fourth session of the Youth Parliament was presided over by Mr. Wazir Ahmed Jogzai, Former Deputy Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan and an esteemed member of the Youth Parliament Steering Committee. The parliament discussed: Impact of National & International Media on Pakistani Society, Terrorism and its Impact on Cricket and Local Governments: Review and Reform. In addition to these, arrest of Pakistani students in the UK, soft-loan policy with easy documentation process for youth to pursue their education in the country and abroad were also a part of the agenda and were discussed in the house.
